SHINJUKU · ONE ROOM FOR FIVE
Five guests.
Count the sleeping places.
A room that accepts five people does not necessarily provide five standard beds. Compare the exact sleeping setup before you compare the price.

If you are booking a Shinjuku hotel for a family of five, begin with where each person will sleep. A fifth guest may use a sofa bed, futon, shared double or added bed. Capacity alone does not describe comfort.
This shortlist uses our Shinjuku hotel database and current published room information. It focuses on one named category at each property. Enter all five travelers and every child’s age when checking your dates because occupancy, charges and available plans can change with the group.
If there are four people in your party, use our separate guide to Shinjuku rooms for a family of four. It includes four-single and bunk-bed options that solve a different bed question.

02 / THE CLEAREST FIVE-BED PLAN
Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo
Luxury Family Room
46.3 m² · 3–5 guests
Four beds plus one sofa bed
The official room page lists four 120 cm beds and one 90 cm sofa bed. That gives five stated sleeping places without asking two family members to share one standard bed. The room also has two toilets, a bathroom, a separate shower booth and a washbasin counter designed for two people to use at once.

Best match when
Your priority is a clearly published sleeping place for each of five guests.
Confirm before paying
That the selected rate includes the Luxury Family Room for all five people and prepares the sofa bed.
The hotel is also included in our Shinjuku airport bus guide. Check the current airport-to-hotel schedule separately from the room booking.
03 / TWO ROOM SPACES
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside
Adjoining Room B
20 + 41 m² · up to 5 guests
Two singles, one shared double and a futon
The official listing combines two room areas and gives the bed sizes as two 120 cm singles, one 160 cm double and a futon. The setup offers five sleeping positions only if two people are comfortable sharing the double.
Its equipment row lists a washer-dryer, kitchenette and microwave. Because the adjoining setup combines two rooms, our database records two bathrooms and two toilets. Official room sizes, bedding and equipment.
Best match when
Your family values two room spaces, two bathrooms and practical equipment more than five individual beds.

For machine details and other properties, see our Shinjuku hotels with in-room washer-dryers. For bathroom terminology, use the separate bath and toilet guide.
04 / CONNECTED SERVICED-APARTMENT OPTION
Citadines Shinjuku Tokyo
Stay Connected 3 Beds
50 m² · maximum 5 guests
Three published beds, with the fifth guest charged
Citadines lists this 50 m² category for a maximum of five people. Its current room overview says four adults are included and the fifth guest carries an additional charge. The category name identifies three beds, so it does not establish five separate beds.
The property says its apartments have a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette depending on room type, and it provides shared coin laundry. Confirm the kitchen setup attached to this exact connected category. Official room capacity, fifth-guest condition and property facilities.
Best match when
Your group is comfortable sharing beds and wants to compare a connected serviced-apartment layout.

Citadines is closer to Shinjuku Gyoenmae than the main Shinjuku Station complex. If your first concern is airport arrival with bags, compare the routes in our airport access guide before choosing solely on room capacity.
05 / CHECK THE OFFER, NOT JUST THE SEARCH RESULT
Five checks for a five-person booking
If you are comparing one large room with two connected rooms, use our Shinjuku connecting-room booking guide to check the connecting door, occupancy and bedding. For meal preparation, see hotels with kitchens and kitchenettes and confirm the capacity of the exact category.
- Enter all five people and the children’s ages.Do not search for four and assume the youngest can be added later. The occupancy rule and offered rooms may change.
- Assign every sleeping place.Write each traveler’s name beside a single, shared double, sofa bed or futon. If someone remains unassigned, the room description is not complete enough.
- Confirm preparation and charges.Ask whether the sofa bed, futon or added bed is prepared automatically and whether the final displayed total includes the fifth guest.
- Count bathrooms and toilets.Five people can create a morning bottleneck. Check whether “two rooms” also means two usable bathrooms and whether access remains private.
- Plan for five people’s luggage.Published square meters include beds, bathrooms and furniture. Use our large-suitcase room guide for evidence and limitations, then ask about the exact five-person layout.
Hello, we are considering the [exact room category] for [dates] for [adults and children’s ages]. Please confirm that all five guests are permitted and included in the total price. Could you list the bed, sofa-bed and futon setup that will be prepared, including who each sleeping place is intended for? Please also confirm the number of bathrooms and toilets. Thank you.
Family-of-five hotel questions
Is “maximum five guests” the same as five beds?
No. It states occupancy, not the sleeping arrangement. Keio Plaza publishes four beds and a sofa bed. Tokyu Stay’s arrangement includes a shared double and futon. Citadines identifies three beds and needs more clarification for five travelers.
Should we book two regular rooms instead?
Compare the total price, supervision needs, bathroom count and whether the rooms are guaranteed to connect. “Adjacent” and “connecting” are different. A single family room may simplify access, while two rooms may give more privacy.
What if we arrive before check-in?
Confirm the property’s current rules for five people’s bags rather than relying on a general luggage-storage icon. Our Shinjuku luggage-storage guide explains the difference between same-day storage and bags kept between stays.
Are these firsthand stay reviews?
No. This is a researched comparison of published room specifications. We have not tested the five-person layouts. Availability, bedding preparation and charges must be confirmed for the selected dates and rate.
