Hello, I’m Masao!
This time, I stayed at the Tokyo Marriott Hotel, located near Shinagawa Station.
As a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member, I was able to enjoy all the exclusive benefits, so I’m sharing my experience here. I hope this helps anyone planning a stay!
Access & Check-in
The Tokyo Marriott Hotel is about 5 minutes by shuttle bus from Shinagawa Station. The dedicated bus from the Konan exit makes it easy to reach the hotel without walking uphill. It’s also about a 10-minute walk if you prefer.
The lobby impresses with its high ceilings and spacious, open feel, giving off the premium atmosphere you’d expect from the Marriott brand.
As a Platinum member, the check-in process was smooth, with staff explaining the elite benefits in detail.
Platinum Member Benefits
Here are the main perks I enjoyed during my stay:
- Lounge Access
Access to the exclusive lounge for breakfast, tea time, and cocktail hour. - Late Check-out until 4 PM
Having extra time in the morning made my schedule much more relaxed. - Welcome Gift
You can choose points or a drink/snack. I picked a bottle of wine with a cheese set.

The Room
The bedroom was spacious, with large windows offering a night view of Shinagawa—a perfect urban scenery.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless, with good water pressure in the shower and a large bathtub.

The desk, however, was a bit small and not ideal for extended work sessions.

Executive Lounge Experience
During this stay, I had access to the Executive Lounge on the 26th floor. The panoramic views are stunning, changing from sunrise to nightfall, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing.

Platinum members can bring up to two guests for free.
The lounge operates from morning to night, with different atmospheres depending on the time:
- Breakfast (6:30–10:30)
A light Japanese-Western buffet with omelets, salads, pastries, and plenty of sunshine to start your day. - All-Day Service (10:30–22:00)
Soft drinks and snacks are always available. Free Wi-Fi makes it convenient for meetings or reading. - Cocktail Time (17:00–20:00)
Alcohol, cocktails, and light snacks including cheese. Self-service makes it easy to enjoy, and the glittering night view outside the window makes it a luxurious experience.
The lounge food is among the best I’ve experienced in Marriott hotels, with a wide variety from salads to desserts, enough to satisfy even without dinner.

Drinks were abundant, including Singapore’s TWG tea and a good selection of alcohol.

A bonus for business travelers: meeting rooms are free for up to 2 hours (reservation required).

Important Notes:
- Children under elementary school age cannot use the lounge after 6:30 PM.
- Children aged 4 to elementary school students incur a 4,500 JPY charge.
- Children under 3 stay free.
Breakfast
Platinum members enjoy free breakfast!
The live kitchen offers omelets and a variety of Japanese dishes, all delicious.
The selection of breads was excellent, and there were plenty of fresh fruits.
