This guide is specifically for travelers comparing Tokyu Stay properties in Shinjuku. It does not try to rank every Shinjuku hotel with laundry. Instead, it compares exact Tokyu Stay room categories where the official listings clearly identify washing and drying equipment.
If you want a broader Shinjuku comparison that also includes shared-laundry alternatives, use our Shinjuku hotels with in-room washer-dryers guide.

Choose around the rest of your stay
For two travelers who prefer separate beds
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside

The Comfort Twin is a 23 m² room for two, with two 110 cm-wide beds. Its equipment list includes a washer-dryer and microwave, but does not list a kitchenette.
If cooking is part of your plan, compare the Residential Twin: it is listed at 25 m² and includes a kitchenette as well as washing and drying equipment.

Tokyu Stay Nishi-Shinjuku

The Residential Twin combines washing and drying equipment, a kitchenette and a microwave in 21 m², with occupancy listed for two.
Traveling as a couple who would rather share one bed? The Corner Double is listed at 23 m² with a 160 cm bed, a kitchenette and washer-dryer equipment. It also lists separate bath and toilet facilities.

For two travelers sharing a larger bed
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku

The current official listing describes the Deluxe King as 22 m² for two people, with a 180 cm bed, washing and drying equipment, a microwave and a shower booth.
The Superior Queen is a more compact listed option at 15 m², also with washer-dryer equipment. Having the same laundry feature does not make the two layouts equally suitable for your stay.

03 / READ THE FACILITIES CAREFULLY
Three laundry arrangements to distinguish
- In-room washer-dryer.The machine is part of your accommodation. Look for explicit washing and drying equipment in the exact category you are buying, not only in a hotel-wide amenities list.
- Shared self-service laundry. You use machines in a common area. Check access hours, charges and payment methods. This can still suit your trip if private laundry is optional.
- Laundry or dry-cleaning service. You hand clothing to staff. Ask for the price list and return schedule. Do not assume this means there is a machine you can operate yourself.
“Washing machine” also does not tell you the model, load limit or available drying settings. If those details affect how you pack, ask before booking.
A simple plan for laundry during your stay
Plan a wash before your final night rather than building a tight departure schedule around it. Leave time to follow the machine’s instructions and handle any clothing that needs a different care method.
Check garment labels and the machine’s permitted load before starting. We have not verified machine models, cycle lengths, capacities or drying performance for these exact rooms, so no specific turnaround time is assumed here.
For the [exact room type] on [dates], is the washer-dryer inside the room and included in the rate? What are the washing and drying capacities, and is detergent supplied? Could you also confirm whether the room has a kitchenette or only a microwave?
Questions to settle before you pack
Is detergent provided at Tokyu Stay?
The chain’s official FAQ says detergent is provided in rooms with a washer-dryer and identifies Attack ZERO. Ask the property if you have a specific product requirement. Official FAQ, section 4-13.
Does an in-room washer mean the room also has a kitchen?
No. Laundry equipment, microwaves and kitchenettes are separate features in the room listings. The comparison table shows why the category matters.
Are the three Tokyu Stay names the same hotel?
No. Shinjuku, Shinjuku Eastside and Nishi-Shinjuku are separate properties. Check the full name and address on your confirmation, and plan your arrival route for that location.
Is it worth paying more for a private machine?
Compare the total room-price difference over your stay with how often you expect to wash. If you only need one small load and are happy to use shared facilities, private laundry may not justify a higher rate for you.
Start with the exact room, then compare the rate. Laundry access is one useful filter. Beds, luggage space, cooking facilities and your daily route still determine whether the hotel fits your trip.

Sources and scope
This guide uses our Shinjuku hotel research database and the official room pages linked under each property, rechecked on September 20, 2026. Detergent information comes from the official Tokyu Stay FAQ.
We have not personally tested the machines or checked live room availability. Agoda photographs illustrate the properties and may not show the category described. Hotel-page links do not guarantee a particular room or laundry arrangement; confirm those details in the selected offer.
