Tokyo Hotels with Two-Bedroom Suites: Separate Bedrooms for Families

A Tokyo hotel suite can be large and still leave everyone sleeping in one space. If you want the children behind a bedroom door while adults use the living area, start with a named two-bedroom category and its floor plan.

MY STARTING SHORTLIST

This guide focuses on bedroom separation, bed allocation and daily family routines across five properties. For one-room alternatives, see our Tokyo hotel guide for a family of four.

Tokyo Two-Bedroom Hotel Suites: Compare the Exact Room

The first three give four travelers individual single beds. Hyatt’s named category uses an internal connection; Oakwood needs a bedding check. On a phone, swipe this table sideways.

Two Bedrooms, a Living Room or Two Connecting Rooms?

These labels solve different problems. A separate living room gives you somewhere to sit; it does not necessarily provide a second bedroom. Two bedrooms give sleeping privacy, but their doors and access routes still matter. Connecting rooms are separate hotel rooms joined internally.

  • Two adults with two children: check whether both children have suitable beds in the second bedroom and can reach you without entering a public corridor.
  • Two couples: two bedrooms with four singles may be less suitable than your preferred shared-bed setup. Compare bathroom access and privacy too.
  • Five or six travelers: do not add people to a four-person suite based on floor area. Look for a category that explicitly accepts the full party.

If you only need a quiet place to talk after bedtime, compare our Shinjuku suites with separate living rooms. If two hotel rooms are preferable, start with the connecting-room booking guide.

MIMARU SUITES Tokyo Nihombashi: Four Singles and Two Toilets

ROOM TO LOOK FOR

Two-Bedroom Suite

57 m² · four single beds · kitchen · in-room washer-dryer

The official specification lists two washbasins, two toilets, one bathroom and a separate shower room. I would compare this first for four travelers who want their own beds and fewer bathroom bottlenecks in the morning. The hotel lists a two-minute walk from Ningyocho Station.

Keep the category precise. The similarly named Two-Bedroom Family Suite uses a different sleeping arrangement, including loft beds and futons. Do not assume it is simply a larger version of the four-single suite.

MIMARU SUITES Tokyo Asakusa: Four Singles for an Asakusa Base

ROOM TO LOOK FOR

Two-Bedroom Suite

60 m² · four single beds · kitchen · in-room washer-dryer

The operator lists two washbasins, one toilet, one bathroom and a separate shower room. Compared with Nihombashi, the extra floor area does not give you a second toilet. I would choose between them using your sightseeing routes and bathroom routine, rather than the three-square-metre difference alone.

Check the full property name: MIMARU SUITES Tokyo Asakusa is different from MIMARU Tokyo Asakusa Station. Their rooms and equipment are not interchangeable.

MIMARU Tokyo Station East: Suite or Apartment Changes the Answer

ROOM TO LOOK FOR

Two-Bedroom Suite

58 m² · four singles · private washer-dryer · two toilets

The suite lists a bathroom plus a separate shower, including a shower for the master room. I would shortlist it when private laundry and separate sleeping rooms matter together. Use its actual Hatchobori location when planning arrival; the name alone is not a walking route from Tokyo Station.

The category trap: the 47 m² Two-Bedroom Family Apartment lists four singles plus a bunk, one toilet and no in-room washer-dryer. Shared coin laundry is available. More sleeping places do not mean the same facilities.

Some City View and Mini Dining configurations on the official page are marked unavailable for reservations after November 1, 2026. This guide uses the plain Two-Bedroom Suite; match your dates and exact label.

Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya: A Named Interconnecting Suite

ROOM TO LOOK FOR

Two-Bedroom Suite, 1 King Bed & 2 Twin Beds

96 m² · Twin Suite interconnecting with 1 King View

Hyatt explicitly describes this as a Twin Suite interconnecting with a 1 King View room. Its amenities include a kitchen, washer-dryer, living area and sleeper sofa. The room page says the view varies.

I would consider it for a family comfortable with two people sharing a king bed and wanting a Shibuya base. It is not four individual beds. A sleeper sofa appearing in the amenities does not establish an extra guest allowance or included bedding.

Book the combined category. Buying a standard king and twin separately does not establish that they will connect. Ask the hotel to confirm the named combination and its full occupancy for your dates.

Oakwood Premier Tokyo: A Premium Residence Near Tokyo Station

ROOM TO LOOK FOR

2 Bedroom Deluxe

86 m² · maximum four guests · confirm bed allocation

The operator lists a two-bedroom Deluxe apartment for up to four, and describes full kitchens and in-unit laundry across its apartments. I would compare it for travelers prioritizing a residence-style stay around Tokyo Station.

Confirm the beds before payment. Capacity for four does not prove four singles or the double-and-twin combination you may prefer. Specifications for the separate 2 Bedroom Executive category should not be transferred to a Deluxe offer.

What to Check in the Floor Plan Before Paying

  1. Bedroom doors: are both sleeping spaces enclosed, and where do they open?
  2. The evening space: can an adult use the living area without entering the children’s bedroom?
  3. Bathroom access: is the only shower reached through another bedroom? Count toilets separately from washbasins.
  4. All sleeping places: write down who uses each bed, bunk, futon or sofa. Confirm additional bedding and charges.
  5. Luggage and laundry: allow for open cases and the machine’s access. Published floor area includes bathrooms and furniture.

A practical hotel question is more useful than asking whether a suite is spacious:

For [exact category] on [dates], we are [adults and children’s ages]. Please confirm both bedroom doors, the beds allocated to each room, bathroom access, maximum occupancy and whether the washer-dryer is inside this exact suite.

Compare the Whole Stay, Not Just the Room Size

Compare two-bedroom suites against the combined price of two rooms using the same dates, guests, meals and cancellation terms. Confirm whether breakfast is included for children and whether any sofa bed or extra bedding costs more. Do not treat the lowest hotel-level search result as the price of the suite described here.

For MIMARU, the booking interface counts guests aged seven and above as adults; children aged six or under can appear under a no-bed allowance. Enter their ages and choose the sleeping places you actually want. A child allowance does not create another bed.

Private laundry may make a longer stay easier, but it should be checked independently of the kitchen and bedroom count. Our Tokyo in-room washer-dryer guide compares more equipment-specific choices.

Tokyo Two-Bedroom Suite FAQ

Does a hotel suite always have two bedrooms?

No. A suite can have one bedroom and a living area, or another layout. Match an explicitly named two-bedroom category and inspect its plan.

Which options have four separate beds?

The selected Two-Bedroom Suites at MIMARU SUITES Nihombashi, MIMARU SUITES Asakusa and MIMARU Tokyo Station East list four single beds. Select those precise categories.

Is Hyatt House’s two-bedroom suite one apartment?

Hyatt describes its named 96 m² category as a Twin Suite interconnecting with 1 King View. Confirm the combined category rather than relying on two independent room bookings.

Can five people use a suite listed for four?

Only if the exact offer and hotel policy explicitly accept your whole party. Floor area, a sofa or a child bed-sharing allowance alone cannot establish the sleeping setup for a fifth person.

Do two-bedroom apartments always have washer-dryers?

No. At MIMARU Tokyo Station East, the selected Suite lists private laundry, while the Family Apartment described here does not. Check the exact category.

CHOOSE THE NIGHT YOU WANT

For four singles, compare the three MIMARU suites first. For a king-and-twin setup in Shibuya, check Hyatt’s combined category. For a premium station-area residence, shortlist Oakwood after confirming beds. Then compare the final stay totals.

How this guide was checked: official room pages and the MIMARU FAQ linked above, checked October 18, 2026. Recommendations are editorial judgments from those specifications. We have not tested these rooms, their sound isolation or laundry performance. Rates, inventory and room-name mappings on booking sites remain offer-specific.
