HAKODATE / YUNOKAWA ONSEN
A sea view is one choice.
A private onsen is another.
At Yunokawa Prince Hotel Nagisatei, the room name matters more than the hotel-wide bath photographs. Decide whether you want hot-spring water in your own room, separate beds, or extra space for four people. Those priorities lead to different categories.
Two people, one bed: start with the 30 m² Ocean View Deluxe Double with Open-Air Bath.
Two people, separate beds: compare the 38 m² Ocean View Deluxe Room with Open-Air Bath, 2 Beds.
Up to four people: the 66 m² Executive Japanese-Western Room adds space and futons, but its view bath is not an onsen.

Compare the room, the beds and the bath
| Selected category | Space / guests | Sleeping setup | In-room bathing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ocean View Deluxe Double + Open-Air Bath | 30 m² / 1–2 guests | 1 double, 160 cm wide | Private open-air hot-spring bath |
| Ocean View Deluxe Room + Open-Air Bath, 2 Beds | 38 m² / 1–2 guests | 2 beds, each 120 cm wide | Private open-air hot-spring bath |
| Ocean View Executive Japanese-Western + View Bath | 66 m² / 2–4 guests | 2 beds; futons for guests 3–4 | Private view bath; NOT hot-spring water |
| Ocean View Deluxe Double, without open-air-bath wording | 28 m² / 1–2 guests | 1 double, 160 cm wide | Shower booth; no private bathtub listed |
The 66 m² category is larger than both selected open-air-bath rooms. Its description nevertheless states that the room bath is not hot-spring water. Choose it for space and sleeping arrangements if those matter to you; choose an explicitly onsen-equipped category if private hot-spring bathing is essential.
For a couple sharing one bed: the 30 m² open-air-bath double

Look for the complete category: Ocean View, Non-Smoking Deluxe Double Room with Open-Air Bath (30 m²). The listing specifies one 160 × 200 cm bed and capacity for one or two guests.
This is our starting point when sharing a bed is comfortable and the private bath is the reason for the stay. There is no need to move to a larger category simply because its name sounds more premium.
Check the 30 m² room description and category photographs
For two people wanting separate beds: the 38 m² twin

The selected Ocean View Deluxe Room with Open-Air Bath (38 m²), 2 Beds lists two 120 × 200 cm beds and a two-person capacity. Its room features identify an open-air hot-spring bath.
Shortlist it for friends, a parent and adult child, or a couple who prefer separate beds. The additional eight square metres are useful context, but floor area alone does not prove open-suitcase clearance or a particular layout.
Check the 38 m² two-bed room listing and category photographs
This selected category lists capacity for two. If your group has three or four people, search with the full party and choose an accepted category. A wide bed is not permission to add another guest.
For three or four guests: understand the 66 m² view-bath room
The Ocean View Executive Japanese-Western Room with View Bath lists two 140 × 200 cm beds. For three or four guests, the description specifies futons for the additional sleepers. The private room bath is explicitly described as non-onsen.
This can suit a family or group prioritizing room space and accepting futon bedding. It is not the answer to “four guests, four conventional beds, and a private onsen.” Resolve those requirements separately.
Read the 66 m² room specifications, bath note and category photographs
If hot-spring water in your room is non-negotiable, keep searching rather than treating the view bath as equivalent. If private bathing space is enough, compare this category on its own merits.
The similar name that can change your booking
There is also an Ocean View Deluxe Double (28 m²). Its listing shows a shower booth and no private bathtub. It is a different category from the 30 m² double with an open-air bath. Compare the 28 m² listing.
When a booking site shortens a name to “Deluxe Double,” look beyond the heading. Read the room facilities and match the area. If the selected offer does not explicitly include the bath you need, ask for confirmation before paying.
Also distinguish ocean side from Hakodate Mountain side. The Yunokawa tourism association confirms that the hotel has open-air-bath rooms on different sides, as well as ordinary rooms. A private-bath label alone does not establish a sea-facing outlook. Tourism association hotel guide.
Keep room choice and dinner choice separate

The room listings offer different meal plans. A bath-equipped room does not itself establish that dinner is included. Compare the same dates and party size, then read the meals, cancellation terms and total amount together.
If you want to visit Mt. Hakodate around dusk, protect the evening you value most. A relaxed private-bath stay needs time in the room; a rushed late check-in can remove much of the benefit you paid for. Our Hakodate ryokan, seafood and night-view guide explains how to separate sightseeing and a ryokan dinner.
Three checks before selecting an offer
Choose the number of separate beds, whether futons are acceptable, whether the bath must use hot-spring water, and whether ocean side is essential.
Use room name, floor area, bed setup and bath description together. A photograph elsewhere in the hotel gallery does not establish what the selected offer includes.
Enter every adult and child age. Confirm meals, full price, cancellation rules and any unanswered room details before payment.
We are considering [exact room category] for [dates], with [number of adults] and children aged [ages]. Please confirm the room outlook, the number and size of beds, any futons, and whether the private room bath is open-air and uses hot-spring water. Does this offer include dinner, and what is the latest arrival time for that meal?
Questions about Nagisatei room types
Do all Nagisatei rooms have a private onsen?
No. The compared listings include open-air hot-spring categories, a non-onsen view-bath room and a shower-only double. Check the selected room, not the hotel-wide amenity list.
Is an Executive room automatically the best choice?
Choose around the feature you will use. More space may justify an upgrade for one party; private hot-spring bathing may matter more to another.
Can four adults use the selected 38 m² twin?
Its published capacity is two. The 66 m² Japanese-Western category accepts up to four with futons for additional guests, but its room bath is not an onsen.
Does a bath photo prove the room has a sea view?
No. Match the selected room description and category photographs. The photos reproduced here are property-gallery references, not confirmation of your allocated room.
Can I rely on the child rules from another rate?
Enter the actual ages and read the final offer. Adult capacity does not determine child sharing, bedding or meals for every sales channel.
