A washer-dryer solves the laundry question. It does not tell you which room to book. Two central Sapporo hotels offer in-room laundry, but their similarly named rooms can differ in space and cooking facilities.
This guide compares Tokyu Stay Sapporo with Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori for two, three or four guests. Start with your sleeping arrangement, then compare the room and your arrival route.

Two guests: do you actually need a kitchen?
Shared bed, laundry first
Sapporo’s Superior Double and Odori’s Residential Double both list a 160 cm-wide bed. The useful distinction is the kitchenette in the Residential category, rather than the floor area.
Our recommendation: if you plan to eat out, compare the total rate and location first. Paying for cooking facilities makes more sense when you already know which meals you will prepare.
Want separate beds? Sapporo lists a 19 m² Comfort Twin; Odori lists a 19 m² Superior Twin. Both have capacity two and in-room laundry. Odori’s 23 m² Residential Twin adds a kitchenette and separate bath/toilet.

Three guests: a twin name does not settle the third bed
Compare Sapporo’s Deluxe Twin with Odori’s Premier Twin. Both list separate bath/toilet facilities as well as cooking and laundry equipment. For Odori’s Premier Twin, the hotel describes extra-bed accommodation for the third guest.
Book for three from the start. A two-person rate for a twin category does not establish a third sleeping place. Enter every guest and child’s age, then check the complete bed arrangement and final price.
The practical choice is the room that accepts your party at a clear total price. A small difference in published floor area should come after that check.
Four guests: “Stay Premier” means different rooms
| Stay Premier at… | What to compare |
|---|---|
| Tokyu Stay Sapporo | 36 m² · capacity 4 Separate bath/toilet; check kitchen directly |
| Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori | 49 m² · capacity 4 Separate bath/toilet; kitchenette listed |
There is a useful discrepancy to resolve at Sapporo. Its room equipment table omits a kitchenette for Stay Premier, while the hotel’s main-page description includes one. If cooking is essential, get confirmation for your booked room rather than treating the omission as proof that there is no kitchen.
The Sapporo main page describes two additional studio beds for occupancy up to four. Odori’s description also uses extra-bed accommodation, so do not assume either option means four permanent beds.
Odori also lists a 42 m² Connecting Room for four, with kitchenette and laundry. Compare a connected layout with Stay Premier if separating sleeping routines matters more than having everyone in one larger room.

Arriving with luggage: check the exit, not just the station
Both hotels are near Odori subway station. “Tokyu Stay Sapporo” should not be read as “a hotel at JR Sapporo Station.”
| Property | Official route |
|---|---|
| Tokyu Stay Sapporo | 1 minute from Odori exit 34 |
| Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori | 3 minutes from Odori exit 2 or the Pole Town Tanukikoji 4-chome exit |
For larger or numerous bags, Odori’s Japanese access guide recommends continuing through Pole Town towards Susukino, then using the escalator at the Tanukikoji 4-chome exit. The remaining route includes an outdoor walk.
Our advice: compare the full route from your arrival platform. An exit-to-hotel estimate excludes the walk inside the station, and an escalator route is not automatically a step-free route for a stroller.

Before you pay: four checks
- Property: save the full hotel name and address so you do not mix up the two locations.
- Sleeping: confirm all beds, extra-bed charges and child-sharing rules for your rate.
- Cooking: if meals depend on a kitchenette, verify the exact category.
- Laundry: check appliance capacity and your clothing’s care labels before planning a large wash. Do not assume a hotel washer-dryer is suitable for every winter garment.
For four people who need cooking facilities, our starting shortlist would be Odori’s Stay Premier and Connecting Room. For two who only want private laundry, compare the smaller categories at both hotels before paying for more facilities.

How this comparison was researched
Room sizes, capacities and equipment come from the linked official room lists. Extra-bed descriptions and access routes come from the hotels’ own pages. Recommendations are our interpretation of those specifications; we have not tested the machines, room noise or usable luggage space. Photos are property advertisements and do not confirm the layout of a particular category.
